Dr. James T. Andrews co-edits upcoming book “Art and the Global City”

Dr. James T. Andrews (University Professor of Modern Russian History) and Dr. Margaret R. LaWare (Associate Professor of English) announce the forthcoming publication of their new co-edited book Art and the Global City (Oxford/NYC: Peter Lang, June 2022).
Based on an international conference at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (November 2019), the book brings together scholars from interdisciplinary backgrounds (Frankfurt School Communication Scholars, Cultural Historians, Sociologists and Public Sphere Cultural Theorists) to look at the evolution of public space and art in global cities.
