William Walker

I am a first-year graduate student. I use he/him/his pronouns.

My main research areas of interest are LGBTQA+, working class, polytheism, and Mediterranean history. My primary goal is to research gender identity and sexuality of working class people in the Mediterranean world, particularly in Italy and Rome. I also am interested the history of transgender identity more broadly, with an emphasis on transmasculine experiences.

I currently work as an Archivist Assistant at the State Historical Society of Iowa, where I have worked for two years. I have previously worked as a Preservation Technician for ISU in their Preservation Department at Parks Library. I am planning to continue my professional career in public history. I am earning a certificate in Preservation and Cultural Heritage alongside my MA in history."
